I know I never post anymore, but I finished another sweet quilt for the same friend as below for her newest little girl. I love it and had to share. It was inspired by what I found here.

Far Far Away Quilt...Complete!
This is the second quilt I've made from Heather Ross' fabulous Far Far Away line. I made it to coordinate with this one. I'm super pleased with how it turned out and best of all? My son LOVES it. Nothing like a sweet smile from the recipient to know that it was worth all my effort:)
Aaaand, I got to use my amazing new bias tape maker to make that binding out of a vintage sheet. LOVE.

I have a sweet girl who loves to make things for people. Those of us lucky enough to live with her benefit the most from this passion of hers. Well, for Christmas last year she really wanted to sew her brother a pillow. And she just knew that she could hand-sew a picture of a moving truck on the front. So I had her draw a picture of the truck, which I then transferred to a piece of muslin. Then she got to stitching. She worked quite hard for any quiet brother-free moment she could find and finished. My mama heart was so proud!
I did the text for her and sewed part of the pillow, but she did most of the work and takes a lot of pride in it. And that little brother of hers just loves it!

Quiet Book: O & P
Did you think I had forgotten about the quiet book?? Nope. I continue to work on it, one stitch at a time. Only a few pages left, really.
I honestly don't remember where (if anywhere) I got the inspiration for these pages, but they are already being loved on. My 5 year old loves practicing tying bows while my 11 month old loves gnawing on them. Win-win for both ages. I love that. Now, if I can just find my list of which pages to make for each letter then I could get started on the next page...

When the going gets toothless...
Have mama make a special tooth pillow!!
We made this pretty little by piecing together some scraps. Emmie, of course, helped me to stuff it and voila!! A safe and special little place to put her tooth while it waits for pick-up by that beloved little fairy.

Sweet Baby Girl Quilt
My dear best friend is having a girl!! So I made a quilt and I just love the way it turned out...
It was made with a bunch of random fat quarters I picked up at Joann's and the worst scissors I've ever used (sorry, Mom!! But I do hope you love your new Ginghers!!)

Ribbons and Puffy Sleeves
Those were the only requirements for this little dress, according to my little princess. We were headed to Disneyland and I had to make sure she would be going in style!
This dress was surprisingly easy to make. I had originally go to the store, picked up the Tangled pattern and copied the measurements and fabric requirements and got all of the supplies. Then I promptly put the pattern back on the rack. I have a hard time paying full price for patterns, so I was going to go home and wing it. But when I got to the register, I was informed that the pattern was only $1!! I picked that sucker right back up and my life just got a TON easier:)
I definitely didn't follow every detail in the pattern...do I ever?? But I made it just what we wanted it to be. Needless to say, she was thrilled with it, and can't wait to wear it for Halloween as well.
